Presented in association with the Friends of the Tatham Art Gallery (FOTAG), Music Revival will host a concert by young KZN–born soprano Fae Evelyn and baritone Thomas Asher – both graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in the United Kingdom - with Christopher Duigan (piano) as guest artist. Their programme will include a variety of songs, operatic arias and musicals.
Fae is completing her Masters of Music (performance). Her principal tutor is Sandra Dugdale, having previously studied with Colleen Philp and Lionel Mkhwanazi at UKZN. Highlights from Fae’s last few years of performing include her lunch-hour recitals both at UKZN and the Tatham Art Gallery; being a finalist in Muziq, a national music competition; and being an invited soloist for the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s Last Night at the Proms in the Durban City Hall.
The concert takes place at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg on August 14 at 15h30. Tickets R50 booked through Music Revival at booking@musicrevival.co.za or on 033 342 3051. There is secure parking.
