OYSTER BOX HIGH TEA

Entertainment luminary Kajal Bagwandeen deploys her skills to support Durban safe-house, Kerr House.

Durban dancer, actress and television presenter, Kajal Bagwandeen is supporting local safe-house, Kerr House, Durban Women's Hospice, and has been using her event skills by organising a special fund-raiser at the Oyster Box Hotel for this worthy cause.

Kerr House provides a safe haven for abused and destitute women and this year they are celebrating 60 years in existence. The ever-increasing incident of domestic violence, rape, abuse, human trafficking and women forced to become sex workers places a huge demand on the services of this organisation. To commemorate this they are hosting a Women's Month High tea fundraiser together with the Oyster Box Hotel.

There will be two inspiring motivational speakers, Mary Papayya and Anne Dreyer, gift bags for each lady including loads of giveaways and wonderful goodies from Elizabeth Arden, Craft Trattoria, The Oyster Box Hotel, Daniela's, Jen's hair Couture, Curves Ladies gym, Charcoal and Chocolate to name a few. You will also find yourself laughing in your seats with charismatic comedian, Jailoshini Naidoo.

There will also be a stunning Leigh Schubert garment and a beautiful jewellery piece specially designed for the event by Yuvati Shah on auction.

All proceeds go towards the rehabilitation of the women that need the help of Kerr House, Durban Women's Hospice. Support a good cause and have a wonderful time with lady friends in opulent surroundings with decadent cuisine as we celebrate Women's Month together.

The fundraiser takes place on August 14 2011 at 11h00 in the Pearl Room of The Oyster Box Hotel at Umhlanga Rocks. R425 per person. There is limited seating so early booking is essential through Kashmir on 083 226 7311.
