Baroque 2000's next concert is on September 25 at the Church of the Monastery, Mariannhill.This special programme is entitled From Renaissance to Baroque and the first part includes works by Giovanni Gabrieli (whose music featured innovative 'stereo' effects of opposed groups of instruments), Orlando di Lasso, and Guillaume Dufay. The orchestra will also play pieces by Bach and Handel, masters of the late Baroque period.
