SHABALALA RHYTHM WITH TANGA PASI

The Heritage Day weekend is just a day away and what more appropriate outfit could Rainbow Restaurant present than maskanda heavyweights Shabalala Rhythm under the leadership of Sibongiseni Shabalala of Ladysmith Black Mambazo fame.

“Get your umblaselo outfits together, your party shoes on and get over to the Rainbow for an afternoon of high energy partying,” says co-owner Neil Comfort. “Before that, though, we will have an opening set from a trio that goes under the name of Tanga Pasi, a Kalanga phrase that translates as "starting from scratch". The group features Zimbabweans Sinini and Pamela Ngwenya in collaboration with Shabalala Rhythm guitarist Maqhinga Radebe.”

Shabalala Rhythm with Tanga Pasi (Zim/SA) in support presented in association with Castle Lager. The doors open at 12 noon on September 25 with the first set just after 13h00. Tickets R30 presale (R40 at the door).
