THE MENTALIST & ROOKIE BLUE

Season 2 of The Mentalist starts on the Universal Channel on DStv on September 5 to run on Mondays at 20h00. This hit drama stars Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, a man with remarkable crime-solving skills. Jane formerly found employment as a psychic medium but this was a ruse as he had no psychic powers at all. However, his observational skills, honed while posing as a psychic, now prove invaluable as he works as a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation.

Season 2 sees Jane reunited with the psychic Kristina Frye, the CBI investigate the murder of a maths genius and Jane helps a woman get her memory back.

Also premiering on September 5 and following The Mentalist, at 20h50 is the second season of Rookie Blue.

This hit police drama follows five rookie cops. Season 2 serves up danger, sex and high-stakes thrills where even the smallest mistake can have life-or-death consequences. Each new recruit must face up to meeting the expectations of their superiors; handle the pressure of their new responsibilities, while also coping with the rigours of their private lives. Season 2 sees Andy and Sam investigating the theft of some severed heads, Traci finds herself drawn back to detective Barber and Andy’s world explodes because of a concert shooting.
