The musical tribute Eagles - Taking It Easy opens at The Heritage Theatre on October 11 and covers the musical meteoric rise to fame of the Eagles band, during the early 70s and 80s. the programme includes numbers such as Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes, Get Over It and Heartache Tonight.
Featuring a seven-piece band, the show promises to be “the closest thing to going to a real Eagles concert”. Expect to hear Take It To The Limit, One Of These Nights, Life In the Fast Lane, Love Will Keep Us Alive and The Long Run, as well as one or two songs from their latest album, Long Road Out Of Eden.
The show is directed by Dawn Selby and - in true Eagles style - features four front-line guitars in Barry Thomson, Andy Turrell, Riaan Jacobsz and Shaun Dragt. Andy also features on pedal steel. On bass is Jason Andrew with Mali Sewell on drums. If you are an Eagles fan, this one is not to be missed.
