(Tansen Nepaul)
The Golden Age Universal, Love Unity musical concert will be held to celebrate Sri Satya Sai Avataar Day.
It is a free concert and the purpose of the concert is to spread Universal Love in the form of music.
The unique concept of this event is the performance of a Western Orchestra playing the music of SAI. Written by Tansen Nepaul for the Durban City Orchestra, this may be the first of such a project. The programme is multicultural and includes international and South African artists.
Heading the line-up is Aneta Kacurkova from Macedonia. Aneta, a Sai devotee who writes her own songs and has performed throughout the world. Others making their appearance are Umita Kalyan, Santhen Naidoo, Darren Reddy, Rekha Govindh and a mass choir from the St Faiths Anglican Church. The 40-piece Durban City Orchestra will join Tansen Nepaul and his team of musicians for an unforgettable experience that brings musicians from different backgrounds onto one stage.
The Love Unity concert will take place on Ocrtober 20 at 19h00 in the Kendra Hall (doors open at 18h00). Entrance is free but tickets can be reserved at Cosmetica on Lorne Street. Donations welcome. More information from Bharath Govindh on 082 931 1355 or 031 305 2069.
