SEND THE FIRE

(Martin Sigamoney)

The Stirling Theatre will host Send the Fire at the Italian Club in Durban North for a limited season.

“Martin Sigamoney has drawn on Durban’s finest to put together an 11 piece live band, including a smoking hot brass section. At present this experienced team of musicians has only performed for business functions so it’s a real treat that they have decided to schedule four public performances,” says Marion Loudon of Stirling Theatre.
This musical ensemble has drawn on Durban musos from all walks of life, from Mario Monteregge in his 70's who is most well-known for heading up Music Unlimited all through the 80’s and 90’s, to Magai a Limpopo-born young singer in her twenties.

Audiences can be assured of being well entertained as this band performs hits from the old style evergreens like Volare and Il Mondo to current hits from Freshly Ground and even UB40.

Vocals will be provided by Marion Loudon and Magai and the band is made up of Martin Sigamoney (saxophone); Mark Royeppen (keyboard); Mageshen Naidoo (guitar); Mario Monteregge (trombone); Jason Naidoo (trombone); Gabriel Joseph (trumpet); Khulekani (trumpet), Jill Murraybrown (bass) and Bruce Baker (drums
