BAT MUSIC

The BAT Centre has a strong music programme lined up this week linked to the international input of the COP17 conference.

December 7 from 18h00 till late: Tuff Masters (South African, Reggae) and Just Friends (SA, African Jazz). Entry R30.

December 8 from 18h00 till late: Umshikashika Wenkunzi (SA, Traditional Song & Dance) and Solomon Willy & The Soul Trill Band (Nigeria, African Jazz). Entry R30.

December 9 from 18h00 till late: Nozuko Nguqu (SA, Traditional Maskandi); Shikisha Mzansi Afro (SA, Jive and Kwela music), and Batuka (Nigeria, African Jazz). Entry R30.

December 10 from 13h00 till late: The BOS Music Festival culminates from the BAT Green House Music Marathon. This 10 hour music celebration will feature 20 acts with band members from all over the African continent: South Africa, Congo, Zimbabwe, Burundi and Nigeria. The list of featured bands are Rene Tshiakanyi (Congo); Just Friends; Shikisha Mzansi Afro-Jazz; Island Crew; Umshikashika Wenkunzi; Ingwemabala; Ojikelele; Freddie & The Band Freddie; New City International (Congo); Solomon Willy & the Soul Trill Band; Baret Blues; New Dawn; Nozuko Nguqu; Batuka Afrobeat Project; Dzimbahwe Mbira Group; Njeza’s Trio; Tosh Marley & the Revealers; Tuffmasters, and Mondli & Friends. Entry R50 damage.

December 11 from 18h00 till late: Tanga Pasi which is a visiting Zimbabwean band (afro-ethnic fusion); Tuff Masters (SA, Reggae), and New Dawn (SA, African Jazz)
