RAINBOW WEEKEND MUSIC

Rainbow Restaurant in Pinetown will host Shabalala Rhythm in concert on December 16. Front man Sibongiseni Shabalala is a consummate professional having been around the world many times as a member of his father’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Add in the roots rhythms of guitarist Maqhinga Radebe and patrons are promised a musical showcase that perfectly reflects the music and people of KZN. The performance takes place on December 16. Doors open at 12 noon, with the first set just after 14h00. Tickets R30 (R10 members) at the door.

Presented by Oudemeester, Neil Gonsalves Quartet in Concert will be the drawcard on December 17. Compliments of Oudemeester brandy, access to this concert is free and there will be a chance to taste the full range of Oudemeester brandies from the VSOB to Demant to Reserve and finally the premium offering of Oudemeester Sovereign. The musicians performing whilst patrons sip on some fine brandy are Neil Gonsalves on piano, Shaun Duvall on saxophone, S'busiso Zondi and drums and Philani Ngidi on bass. The performance takes place on December 17 between 16h00 and 18h00. Entrance is free!
