Durban artist Greg Streak has been selected for international Art T-Shirt Design

“I am very happy to let you know that I am part of this unique project called Sequoia Tees. The concept is 1 day, 1 design, 100 numbers. I am up and showcased today!” says Greg Streak as he invites people to check out his designs.

“In this project some of the world’s biggest artists are taking part and delivering a unique design to be silkscreen printed on a T-shirt. In my case, it is a full embroidery! The T-shirts will be limited to an edition of 100 pieces. And they are numbered. The numbers are punched in the shirt. Every time someone buys a number with my design, no-one else can buy this number anymore. This makes the T-shirts true collectors’ items!

“My design is a simple abstract print which is in fact the candlestick graph of the Dow Jones stock exchange for the month September 2008 - in which the worlds economies crashed (most notably on September 29th which is known as Blue Monday) ...” he goes on to explain.
