(Naum Rousine)The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will appear in the Kwa Mashu Community Engagement Concert on March 17 with soloists Busisiwe Shazi (soprano), Smanga Cebekhulu (tenor) and the Thokozani Choral Society from Kwa Mashu. The conductor will be Naum Rousine.
The concert forms part of the orchestra’s Education and Development programme which aims to educate and entertain local community members through music. This concert will give the community of Kwa Mashu a wonderful taste of a world class orchestra combined with their very own community choir as well as young soloists from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra prides itself on being an orchestra for the people and also bringing music to audiences that would normally not be exposed to classical music.
The Kwa Mashu Community Engagement Concert takes place at 15h00 on March 17 in the L Section Community Hall, Kwa Mashu.
