The KZN Youth Orchestra Sunset Proms will take place at the Deutsche Schule Durban on March 21.
This concert offers great music on Human Rights Day in the beautiful surroundings of the German School. Bring picnic baskets, blankets or chairs, as well as the whole family, and enjoy music by the KZN Youth Orchestra, Platform Jazz, Ancore and others. Glühwein will be on sale.
The KZN Youth Orchestra was established in 1994 as a non-profit platform to allow young people with musical ability the opportunity to perform in a professional environment and develop their group musical skills. The players, between the ages of 12 and 23, are selected by audition each year and come from all over KwaZulu-Natal. Under the baton of Lykele Temmingh and Cathy Peacock, assisted by Lindsay Johnson, the 2012 repertoire includes a variety of classical, contemporary and popular music arrangements.
The KZNYO Sunset Proms take place on March 21 at 16h00. Tickets R50 (R25 children) at the gate Deutsche Schule Durban is situated in 34 Stafford Road, Cowies Hill. Car guards will be in attendance.
