(Clare McIlroy, Rob Warren, Gareth Gale and Garth Warren)

Zaffa presents a tribute to the great man in black, Johnny Cash in The Johnny Cash Show with songs all about trains, guns, love, heartache and ….. prison.

It’s fun, vibrant and electric, and features favourite Johnny Cash hits, including Boy named Sue, Ring of Fire, Jackson and many more. The show will also feature songs that were covered by Cash on his American Recordings produced by Rick Rubin.

The show will feature Rob Warren as Johnny, on guitar and vocals; his brother Garth Warren on bass and vocals; Gareth Gale on drums, and holding down the June Carter moments will be the lovely Clare McIlroy.

Expect to hear evergreen Cash hits like Cry Cry Cry, Man in Black, Walk the Line, It Ain’t Me Babe and Juke Box Blues. This country and rock ‘n roll show promises to have patrons’ cowboy boots a-tappin’ and feet a-stampin’.

The Johnny Cash Show runs over two weekends: May 4 and 5 and May 11 and 13 at 20h00 with an early performance on May 13 at 15h00. The venue is the Stirling Theatre, Durban North, Italian Club, 82 Fairway. Tickets R80 pp booked through 076 786 1127 or email BYO picnics & snacks. There is a cash bar but regretfully, no credit card facility.
