Coolab creative Collective in Association with Life Long Learning will host the third edition of TedTlk screening and discussion with local experts.
Coolab Creative Collective is the brainchild of several academics, writers and social commentators, Coolabs is a creative agency and a think tank. Life Long Learning KZN (LLLkzn) is a non-profit making organization offering educational events and courses to the general public in KZN.
The theme for this edition of the event is How schools and education kill creativity. Artists and education experts from creative institutions in Durban will discuss their experience and ideas within this field. Speakers for the night will be Nanda Soobben and Greg Tregoning.
Nanda Soobben is one of the most prolific and award-winning cartoonists in South African history. He began his career at Post in 1980 and later moved to the Daily News in 1985. His unique style is characterised by striking caricatures with intricate hatching and bold statements. He is also a lecturer at the Centre for Fine Art, Animation and Design.
Greg Tregoning Is an educationist and campus head of the Durban branch of the Vega School of Brand Communication.
The TEDtalks Screening & Discussion takes place on April 25 at 19h00 at the Alliance Française. Entry fee R30.
