(Lisa Bobbert in one of the hilarious numbers from the show)
Lisa Bobbert, Anthony Stonier and Andrew Warburton present their award-winning outrageous musical entertainment for one night only at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg this evening (May 18)
Described as “A most macabre musical mixture of madness, murder and mirth mixed together for massive ‘musement!”, Sue Clarence Production’s run-away hit returns to Pietermaritzburg for a special fund-raising performance for Friends of the Tatham Art Gallery (FOTAG).
Bristling with sharp wit and comedy and overflowing with musical ability, audiences should grab the opportunity to enjoy such brutality. Brutal Tunes was specifically designed to highlight the talents and excellent working rapport of this trio. It is a music revue filled with comedy, clever (and brutal …!) lyrics and outrageous fun.
Brutal Tunes is directed by Caroline Smart, with music by Sondheim, Noel Coward, Tom Lehrer - all masters of the brutal, witty lyric... and there are more lyrics than you can possibly imagine! The reviews speak volumes: “Bobbert is brilliant, Stonier is first rate” -“ Right royal treat!” -“Amongst the finest supper shows yet staged” “Wickedly funny”.
The evening starts at 19h00 with the show taking to the stage at approx 19h30. Cash Bar for FOTAG funds is available. Book a table and bring your own picnic dinner - contact Bryony at the Tatham Art Gallery on 033 3922 825 (between 09h00 and 13h00) or e-mail: chris@fotag.co.za (e-mail bookings are preferred).
