(Petro Liebenberg and Jason Guile)The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway endorses the fact that fathers rock when they stage a once-off show of Classic Rock for Father’s Day on June 17. This rock steady production pays tribute to the timeless rock bands from the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s.
The band’s repertoire will consist of songs from the golden era of rock with tributes to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Jimi Hendrix, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, ACDC and many more.
You can expect to hear rock hits like Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love, Feel Like Makin’ Love, Juke Box Hero, Jumping Jack Flash, Another Brick In The Wall, Barracuda, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Paranoid, Still Got The Blues, Sunshine Of Your Love, Thunder Struck, Smoke On The Water and Highway To Hell.
The show will be performed by the world-class cast comprising Shaun V and Petro Liebenberg on lead vocals; along with dynamos Barry Thomson, Jason Guile and Johan Liebenberg showing their skills on guitar and vocals. The band is made up of Raymond Verster on keyboards, Mark Freel on bass guitar, and Mali Sewell on drums.
