(Grant Bell, Gary McKenzie and John Didlick)
At the behest of many of their long time fans, the ever-popular Gee Jays are back at Heritage Theatre for one week only with Snippets, a special compilation show of some of their finest and funniest material.
The Gee Jays, namely, Gary McKenzie, Grant Bell and John Didlick, have put together a selection of songs and sketches from all their shows, and re-visit some of the most hilarious moments in their illustrious career. With excerpts from their first smash hit shows Not The Full Monty, The Three Tonners and Book Club to their later successes Bad Moon Rising, Who’s Your Daddy and Boep Idles.
“Expect all the old favourites from The Beatles to Roy Orbison, Michael Jackson to Elvis and Tom Jones to Robbie Wessels,” says Gary McKenzie. “We re-visit how men can multi-task. There’s some brain numbing red-neck antics and even a message from “The Arch” thrown in for good measure.
“The show, however, is not for the feint hearted and does carry a health warning,” McKenzie warns. “Some slight pain in the cheek muscles and tummy may be experienced. Stay away if you have misplaced your sense of humour.”
The show runs for one week only from June 12 to 17 at The Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest. Tickets R165 Tuesday dinner and Sunday lunch and R195 Wednesday to Saturday include an excellent value two-course meal.
There are three promotional “low price previews” on June 12, 13 and 14 when tickets will be on a buy-one-get-one-free basis. For more information or bookings call 031 765 4197 or visit www.heritagetheatre.co.za
