WORKSHOPS AT ALADDIN’S

Aladdin’s Studio & Gallery in Nottingham Road offers an interesting range of workshops.

On July 7 and 14, there will be a Raku workshop. “This close interaction between creator, clay and fire is a magical experience,” says Louise van Niekerk. “This is my favourite technique and I am still excited every time I fire a load.” This course is suitable for complete novices or expert potters. On the first Saturday the pots will be made for glazing and decorating the following Saturday and eventual firing. R450 for both classes, materials and two firings, with pizza and wine on second Saturday included. (Accommodation available R450 for two people per night)

Regular weekly pottery classes will be held at Aladdin’s starting July on Wednesday mornings from 11h00 to 13h00. The two hour classes cost R490 per month, all clay, firing, studio use and equipment use included. Just bring yourself and come and have fun!

Kids Regular Pottery Class takes place on the first Saturday of the month from 14h00 to 16h00. Cost R95 per child. There will be a Kids Holiday Pottery Fun on July 11 from 11h00 to 1300 where youngsters can make an egg basket. R95 per child.
