On the exact 150th anniversary of French genius Claude Debussy’s birth (August 22, 1862) in Saint-Germain-en-Laye - Christopher Duigan joins a worldwide celebration of the man and his music.
In this introductory presentation revealing some of the detail of Debussy’s music, discover the musical influences from the Americas, Spain and the Far East that permutated Debussy’s mind. Also how imagery, art and poetry offered inspiration to the magical atmospheres captured in sound in a groundbreaking and startlingly original way.
