LU DLAMINI

The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s School of Arts - Music cluster presents Lu Dlamini in its next free lunch-hour concert on Monday (August 6)

Dlamini is a female vocalist for an acoustic, all-star unique outfit called Jika Nelanga which features the likes of Steve Newman, Greg Georgiades, Godfrey Mgcina, Ashish Joshi and Zamo Mbutho. Lu’s attraction to unique sounds has seen her collaborating with The King of the Zulu guitarist Madala Kunene and coming up with a beautiful story of cohesion called Back in Kitomena. Accompanied by two of her extremely talented brothers, Dlamini showcases some of her solo project sounds with her unique style, a combination of Subtlety and Power.

The concert takes place on August 6 in Howard College Theatre from 12h15 to 13h00. Entrance to Monday lunch-hour concerts is free. More information from Babalwa Mentjies on 031 260 3353.
