CFAD YOUNG ARTISTS EXHIBITION

CFAD (the Centre for Fine Art Animation and Design) will showcase the work of some of their most outstanding young artists in South Africa and abroad, through their internship and artists in residence programme.

CFAD is a tertiary institution that offers training in fine art, animation (2D and 3D) and graphic design.Included in the line up or artists are:

- Jared Tromp - The most outstanding CFAD student last year and now a fourth year intern will exhibit his concept art.
- Kevin Wang - a fourth year intern from Taiwan will exhibit his 3D modelling for animation and gaming. Kevin and Jared also jointly created an award-winning 3D animation for a product design.
- Thabo Dlamini - a fourth year intern and an outstanding comic book artist, will exhibit his character design and comic art.
- Tasmin Naidoo - studied fine art at the Michaelis School of Fine Art at UCT and a CFAD intern will exhibit her unique animated thesis on the Grey Street Casbah.
- Lisha Naidu - a fourth year intern who has already been head-hunted by the industry will exhibit her web designs and motion graphics.
- Carmel Silveira – an intern from Brazil will exhibit her stop motion photographic animation on the Holy Varanasi. She recently went to India to take a series of impressive photos for this project.
