KZN PHILHARMONIC AT LEISURE

South Africa’s premiere orchestra will perform at Gateway Shopping Centre and Ushaka Marine World this month.

Join Africa’s Premiere orchestra, the KZN Philharmonic, as they entertain audiences at their leisure at Gateway Shopping Centre on September 15 and 16. The same programme will be held at uShaka Marine World on September 29.

The orchestra will perform under the baton of resident conductor Lykele Temmingh. The programme includes much-loved items such as New York New York!, an Abba Medley and Strauss’ Voices of Spring, R.Hardiman’s The Lord of the Dance and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.

To enjoy the orchestra’s playing even more, subscribe to the KZNPO’s World Symphony Series Spring Season which launches at the Durban City Hall on September 13. Concerts take place every Thursday at 19h30. The season will run until November 1, 2012.

To enrich the concert experience for audience members, pre-concert talks take place at the Playhouse Alhambra Room at 18h15 on the night of each concert.
