LUNA PAIGE

As part of her national spring tour, Luna Paige will play at St. Clements in Durban on September 8.

After touring extensively with her first Afrikaans production, Storielied, Luna has decided to do another tour, promoting her original English music. This show will entail songs from her three previously released albums, as well as brand new songs which originated from a blues and country collaboration and tour with Gerald Clark.

Luna has released three albums since 2003 (titled Luna, Missing Pieces and Wonderful Life). Her style varies from rock ballads, folk, pop, reggae-infused tunes, jazz and blues. She is a skilled songwriter and has been described as one of South Africa’s best female vocalists. With performances at major arts and rock festivals and music theatres across the country, this artist guarantees an evening of high quality music.

Accompanying herself on piano and acoustic guitar, Luna Paige lures the crowd into the fantasy world behind her songs and provides background information on where these songs came from and where she found her inspiration.

She will perform at St. Clements in Musgrave Road this Saturday (September 8) at 19h30. Tickets R50. Doors open from 18h30. More information on 031 202 2511.
