SOUTH JERSEY POM POMS

The South Jersey Pom-Poms first got together in 2006 and quickly made a name for themselves on the Durban music scene. Two years later, they released their first CD and played at the Grahamstown Arts Festival.

Their compositions - written by Jochen, with some of the lyrics contributed by former vocalist Eva Jackson - include tunes in French, Italian and German and blend jazz and blues elements with Eastern European and American folk music.

The South Jersey Pom Poms will perform at the Alliance Française on October 12 at 19h00. Tickets R60 (R50 Alliance members). Alliance Française de Durban is situated at 22 Sutton Crescent (off Windermere Road) in Morningside. For more information contact 031 312 9582 or fax 031 312 2864 or email: durban@alliance.org.za
