Creatives with a flair for the written word will be delighted to hear that online education company, GetSmarter, is presenting four writing courses in conjunction with publishing house Random House Struik and the University of Cape Town respectively. All four courses start between September and November this year.
Whether you aspire to write a novel, memoir, or travel adventure; or start a freelance career as a feature writer, blogger, or online copywriter, a writing course will allow you to be mentored through the writing process, receive constructive feedback from peers, and master the skills of writing that can only be acquired through discipline and practise.
GetSmarter’s writing courses allow students to become part of an online writing community, effectively taking the loneliness out of writing. This online community provides both current and aspiring writers with the opportunity to interact with likeminded individuals and get objective feedback on their writing.
Weekly assignments also assist aspiring writers in devoting time to practise their writing, while at the same time allowing flexibility to study in your own time since all courses are presented part-time and entirely online throughout South Africa.
