BLUE MONDAY PLATFORM

Blue Monday Platform returns! The next staging of Blue Monday Platform is scheduled for Monday (October 29) at the Catalina Theatre – with a jam packed programme of new talent!

Blue Monday Platform is a forum to encourage young performing artists to explore, create and innovate. It is a platform that operates on a basic "open mic" theory where the Platform is yours for fifteen minutes. You can perform anything from poetry to rap, sketches to play excerpts, mime to music.

Blue Monday Platform is on a mission to change the perception of arts and get the youth back into theatres. The Blue Monday Platform is trying to make theatre universal, accessible and appropriate for all walks of life - and appealing and challenging to youth to engage with their culture.

Theatre has to be an experience. The problem nowadays is that theatre very often doesn't appeal to the youth, which is what Blue Monday Platform is going about doing. It is theatre for youth put on by youth!

Get involved in Blue Monday Platform for this seed of an experience. Entry is free and all are welcome. The evening starts at 19h00 on October 29 at Catalina Theatre, Wilsons Wharf. More information on 031 305 6889.
