Making a welcome return to his former home is Joel Zuma, who will be the featured guest artist in the Playhouse Company’s Sundowners programme on October 5.

Zuma is an actor, director, singer, musician and television presenter best known for hosting the fourth season of the reality television series Let's Fix It, in 2008.

Born in Pietermaritzburg, he attended Alexandra High School after which he acquired a National Diploma at Technikon Natal (now Durban University of Technology). His professional acting career started with Ukhozi FM radio dramas and for several years, he presented the career guidance slot on the Ukhozi FM drive-home show.

In 2003, Zuma appeared in the drama series Justice for All and the second season of the SABC1 drama Gaz'lam. He is much in demand as a host for beauty contests, fashion contests and has undertaken several lead roles in musical theatre shows and corporate events. In 2011, he took over as host of the docu-reality series Kaelo - Stories of Hope, for the show's seventh season. He often appears in productions at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway.
