LE PETIT DÉJEUNER 2


October 8 sees the launch of the second book containing a selection of 50 short stories (100 words) from the 2012 Mondays @ Six  competition.

Normally presented at St Clements in Musgrave Road, the Mondays @ Six programme will be held at Alliance Française de Durban for the next few weeks.

October:8: Le Petit Déjeuner 2 sees the launch of the second book published as a result of the excellent response to the 100-word short story competition. The book contains the top 10 stories (adjudicated by Graham Linscott and Carolyn Howie) plus a selection of 40 additional stories (123 stories were submitted).

Future programmes include:

October 15: Acclaimed and respected local visual artist Andrew Verster was interviewed and filmed recently by Rick Andrew - and 30 years ago by Andre Smith.

October 22: Performing arts luminary Delia Ballantyne shares her week-long hike, Scaling the Heights of Kilimanjaro, though slides and discussion.

October 29: Well-known journalist David Basckin presents his latest film about a former SADF conscript, with musical interludes by an a cappella trio who sing and dance through an entire set of Andrews Sisters’ hits.

November 5: Launch of Pieter Scholtz’s new collection of short stories entitled Tales from the Graveyard, based on the ghostly inhabitants of a small cemetery near the village of Loupiac in France.
