The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of
KwaZulu-Natal is to present the Tim Wells Blues band this coming week, fresh
from the Durban International Blues Festival.
The Tim Wells Blues Band recently launched their acclaimed
debut album Everything You Want at a
packed Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban. The album was recorded at Andiamo
Recording Studios and produced by Nux Schwartz. The album is receiving great
responses and is available countrywide in Rythmic Beat stores as well as by
internet download.
The band presents a range of material from Robert Johnson
and BB King to Van Morrison as well as original blues material written by Tim
Wells. The band comprises of renowned award-winning actor and vocalist Tim
Wells with Nux Schwartz on guitar, Peter Enslin on keys, Jason Andrew on bass
and Steve du Plessis on drums.
The concert takes place on October 10 at 18h00 at the Centre
for Jazz and Popular Music (CJPM), Shepstone Building Level 2 at UKZN (Howard
College). Doors open at 17h30. Entry fee R35 (R20 pensioners and R10 students).
