A TOUCH OF THE IRISH

(Dave Monks)

South Africa’s very own Irish minstrel, Dave Monks presents an evening of mirth, merriment and above all, sing-a-long Irish music at Stirling Theatre this weekend. With a proven repertoire of rousing Irish favourites and between songs, Dave delivers a touch of the blarney in his collection of Irish tales and jokes. He was born and raised in Dublin, which gives more than a touch of the authenticity to this Irish music and humour.

The folky feel of the music is accentuated by Dave’s mastery of the fiddle, banjo and harmonica as well as the guitar. Patrons are promised a relaxed evening of Irish Beerfest classics to set the mood for the festive season.

Shows take place on November 9 and 10 at 20h00 and on November 11 at 14h00. Tickets R80. BYO picnics and snacks, There is a cash bar but regret no credit card facility. Bookings on 076 786 1127 or email bookings@stirlingtheatre.co.za
