Calling all
actors, clowns, storytellers, jugglers, acrobats, puppeteers, live musicians,
dancers, and other performing artists:
Clowns
Without Borders will hold auditions in Durban today (November 29). They are
looking for professional freelance performing artists to join their team in
using the arts as a means to improve the lives of vulnerable children and
families affected by crisis. Successful applicants will be invited to
participate in an artistic training workshop in Durban in January 2013 as well
as future projects in Southern Africa.
Auditions
will take place tomorrow (November 29) at the BAT Centre from 13h00 to 17h00.
Participants
will be expected to perform a 3-5 minute solo, duo, or ensemble piece
highlighting their skills. If they can play a musical instrument, take it
along!
Also
take a CV and headshot. No prior clown experience is necessary. Plan on being
there the whole time.
