well known carols like Mary’s Boy Child,
We Three Kings, O Come All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World to fun contemporary favourites such as Santa Baby, Boogie Woogie Santa Claus
and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.
Dolphins
by Starlight fans old and new can expect a
smattering of classics such as Tannenbaum
/ Winter Wonderland and Si Volvieras
a Mi. No Christmas show – even one making this much festive splash – would
be complete without the likes of Rudolph

Produced and directed by uShaka Marine
World’s Wayne R Scott and choreographed by Shelly Hoggard, Dolphins by Starlight features Dewald Louw (who is also starring in
Janice Honeyman’s production of Peter Pan),
Marion Loudon and homegrown young choral talent Jonathan Johansen behind the
microphones. Calli Thompson is musical director while Shelley Mclean, is the
vocal director including Kevin Ellis as costume designer. Event specialists Black
Coffee Design promise the most spectacular production to date which will
include a few surprises!
Queens of splash Affrika, Tombi, Khanya and
Zulu, saltwater showmen Kelpie, Jula, Khwezi and Ingelosi and showstopper
Gambit, the largest bottlenose dolphin in any oceanarium in the world – turn up
the glitz and the glamour for the festive season.
Favourites such as the uShaka children’s
choir and the uShaka Mascots - Rusty the Penguin, Raggy the Shark, Delia the
Dolphin and Slippy the Seal - will be back again this year. Dance to Dance
(performing a waltz pas de deux), Celtic dancers and Xolo Home Boys (performing
I’scathamia) as well as Durban’s own One Medical Battalion Pipes and Drums will
add their special touches for the first time this year.
