SHANNON HOPE AT SEABROOKE’S

Delivering an intensely personal commentary in a vocal epic that has mesmerised audiences countrywide, 2011 Standard Bank Ovation Award winner Shannon Hope returns to her hometown of Durban for a once-off performance with special guests Blue and Bordeaux.

Critically-acclaimed for her poignant performances, Hope has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-touring, self-managed solo artists on the national circuit, and coming off a nationwide support tour with blues legend Dan Patlansky, she kicks off yet another solo tour around South Africa.

Blue And Bordeaux is fronted by duo, Dave McMillan and Candice McMillan. Combining their respective experience in the music scene, this act is a new project that will see them in studio in November to record the debut album. The pair have previously worked with the likes of Farryl Purkiss, Nibs van der Spuy, Driverlane, Roly Struckmeyer, Shannon Hope and retro-pop band, Hairlip. Expect strong melodies, warm keyboard sounds and rhythm focused guitars.

The performance will take place on November 9 from 20h00 (doors open from 19h30) at Seabrooke’s Theatre at DHS, 255 St. Thomas Road, Musgrave. Tickets R60 via Colin on 082 894 7541.
