Steinway Artist Christopher Duigan and Music Revival offer The Absolutely End of Year Concert which
has performances from tonight until New Year’s Eve (December 31).
For this fun end of
year concert, Christopher Duigan plays an upbeat selection of music to bring
the year to a close on a high note. This includes music by George Gershwin,
transporting meditations by contemporary master Ludivico Einaudi, Scott Joplin’s
piano rags, Brazilian tango by Ernesto Nazareth, the seasonal favourite Sleigh Ride, music from legendary jazz pianist
Dave Brubeck who died recently aged 91, plus Chopin's virtuoso Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise.
The Absolutely End of
Year Concert starts later this week with performances on December 28, 29,
30 and 31 (very few tickets are available for the New Year’s Eve concert). All
performances are approximately 70 minutes and start at 19h30 at 35 Montgomery
Drive, Athlone, Pietermaritzburg. Parking is secure.
R100 includes refreshments on arrival. Patrons should bring their
own additional wine. Glasses provided. Coffee available after the concert on
request. Further performances between January 3 and 6, 2013, to be confirmed.
