Jennifer Lopez (Angel
Eyes, Maid in Manhattan) displays her acting skills in this drama, in which
she plays a battered wife and mother who tries to escape her abusive husband.
One day, something snaps – and she decides she’s had “enough”.
What follows is women’s empowerment with a vigilante-like
twist as J.Lo stops being the victim and starts getting mean and fighting back.
She trains herself in hand-to-hand combat, realising there may be only one way
out of this nightmare marriage: to kill her husband, claiming self-defence.
