(Bongani Tembe and Linda Bukhosini will be the featured soloists)

The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will present the Songs of Worship and Celebration concert at the Clermont Assemblies of God Church on December 17.

In keeping with the KZN Philharmonic’s mission to advance nation-building and promote choral and orchestral music, this concert will see Africa’s premier orchestra collaborating with three choirs: the Durban and District Assemblies of God Choir, the Clermont Community Choir and the New Apostolic Church Choir. This highly anticipated concert will be conducted by the orchestra’s resident conductor, Naum Rousine.

The concert features renowned soprano, Linda Bukhosini and highly acclaimed tenor, Bongani Tembe. The master of ceremonies will be popular uKhozi FM personality S’busiso Buthelezi who presents a dynamic Gospel Music Show on uKhozi FM, known as Indumiso-Songs of Worship.

The concert will feature songs of praise and worship including highlights from Handel’s Messiah. The audience will be encouraged to sing along in a number of ‘traditional’ hymns and celebratory Festive season songs, such as Joy to the World, Silent Night and O come all ye faithful.

Songs of Worship and Celebration takes place on December 17 at 15h00. Tickets R50 booked through Computicket on 086 1915 8000 or or through the participating choirs and churches. The KZN Philharmonic has arranged security and secure parking at the venue.
