HAVEN SERIES 3

South African television fans are in for a spine-chilling treat with Haven Series 3 which has returned to local screens on Universal Channel on DSTV 117 now in HD on Sundays at 20h00.

Universal Channel’s largely popular Haven which deals with strange events in a fictional town in Maine called Haven is filmed on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour, whose characters battle to tackle the demons afflicting residents in Haven.

Haven Series 3 continues their struggle to unlock the secrets tearing residents apart in Maine. After arriving in the seaside town on assignment, FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) finds herself drawn to Haven’s picturesque scenery and welcoming residents. But the lively coastal town has a troubling past that threatens to boil over—and Audrey decides to leave the FBI but stay in town to investigate several supernatural cases.

Audrey soon discovers that many people in Haven have been cursed with a variety of supernatural afflictions, called “troubles” in Haven lore, and that she is uniquely suited to help those afflicted. Joining the Haven Police Department and partnering with Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant), Audrey realizes that it was fate—not luck—that brought her to Haven.

Towing that line is local rogue Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour), a man whose exploits as a petty criminal have made him Nathan’s long-time adversary, and there’s certainly no love to be lost between them once Nathan and Duke both became smitten by Audrey’s fiery intensity and timeless beauty.

It is at the pinnacle of the Nathan and Duke rivalry that Season Three begins. In the finale of Season Two, Nathan—thinking he and his partner were about to take their relationship to the next level—arrived at Audrey’s apartment to find her missing, apparently abducted.

Season Three continues the search for Audrey and the identity of her mysterious abductor, who seems to know much more about Haven than our heroes, and has a very personal interest in Audrey and The Colorado Kid— a murder mystery that has stumped Havenites for 27 years, the last time that Audrey, then known as Lucy Ripley, was in Haven. As her fate closes in, Audrey, Nathan, and Duke find themselves in a fight to escape their destinies, even as every choice they make seems to lead them to repeat Haven’s history.
