RHUMBELOW TEA DANCE

Come to Rhumbelow Theatre and have fun and learn a new dance step every month. Armand Mynhardt-Joubert will be there each Sunday to assist with the dancing.

The Rhumbelow Theatre’s monthly tea dance starts on March 3 and thereafter will run on the first Sunday of the month from 12h30 to 16h30. Entry R50. A full cash bar is available and braais will be available so bring picnics.

The featured dance in March will be the West Coast Swing (WCS), a partner dance derived from Lindy Hop. It is characterised by a distinctive elastic look that results from its basic extension-compression technique of partner connection, and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor. The dance allows for both partners to improvise steps while dancing together.

Rhumbelow Theatre is situated in Cunningham Avenue off Bartle Road. More information from Roland on 031 205 7602 (h) or 082 499 8636, email roland@stansell.za.net or visit www.rhumbelow.za.net
