WALKING IN MEMPHIS

Be transported back in time to the early 70’s when Elvis, the King of Rock n’ Roll, was headlining on the Vegas Strip.

Rhumbelow Theatre presents Walking in Memphis, a Rocktainment Production featuring Doug Weich as “Elvis”. The show promises to have audiences glued to their seats for the full 80 minute performance, as he belts out a whole repertoire of songs with Blue Suede Shoes, Love Me Tender and Hound Dog being amongst the mix.

Based in KZN, Doug Weich is a well-established ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) who has been performing since a very young age, with over 400 shows under his belt. He really gets into character when on stage and with his array of glittering jumpsuits, this show is definitely one not to be missed.

The show is for all ages, so why not you put on your dancing shoes and come and dance the night away with “Elvis” as he serenades you, you might be one of the lucky ones who receives a scarf that is handed out by “Elvis” during the show.

“If you’re an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary.  If you’re not an Elvis fan, no explanation is possible.”

Shows take place on March 15 and 16 at 20h00 and on March 17 at 18h30. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.

Tickets R100 (less 25% pensioners and tables of eight or more). Take along food picnic baskets and braais will be available. There is limited secure parking and booking is essential. A cash bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Rhumbelow Theatre is situated in Cunningham Avenue off Bartle Road.
