One of the Sony Max Series highlights in
April will be PhoneShop which will
air on Sony Max DStv Channel 128 on April 30 at 22h15.
Anyone who has been baffled by a cellphone
sales assistant’s technobabble and double-speak and has found themselves locked
into an expensive rip-off contract will be able to relate to the quirky UK
sitcom PhoneShop.
Set in a busy London mobile phone shop, the
series follows Christopher (Tom Bennett), a nervy young graduate who is tossed
into the snakepit of cut-throat sales targets and dog-eat-dog backstabbing. The
second season sees hard times hitting London, and the phone shop employees
start casting around for alternative ways to make money on the side – with
side-splitting results.
PhoneShop continues on Tuesdays at 22h15.
