AFRICAN BIG FIVE

To be presented at Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre over the coming weekend, African Big Five is physical dance movement and storytelling that demonstrates the life and beauty of the big five animals in Africa.

The production incorporates art visual images, video, the spoken word, music and song with a bit of the drum in collaboration with the movement.

The African modern contemporary dance production is performed by the young energetic dancers of the new intake training programme for KwaMashu Community Advancement Project (KCAP).

African Big Five celebrates May as Africa Month and aims to stimulate awareness of the KZN community and environment, while bringing the dance arts to the local community of KwaMashu.

African Big Five has performances on May 24 at 18h00 and May 25 at 15h00 at Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre in Kwa Mashu. More information from Phindile Gwala on 031 504 6970 or email: biencagwala@gmail.com
