To be presented at Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre over the
coming weekend, African
Big Five is physical dance movement and storytelling that demonstrates the
life and beauty of the big five animals in Africa.
The production incorporates art visual
images, video, the spoken word, music and song with a bit of the drum in
collaboration with the movement.
The African modern contemporary dance production
is performed by the young energetic dancers of the new intake training programme
for KwaMashu Community Advancement Project (KCAP).
African
Big Five celebrates May as Africa Month and aims to
stimulate awareness of the KZN community and environment, while bringing the
dance arts to the local community of KwaMashu.

Big Five has performances on May 24 at 18h00 and May 25 at 15h00
at Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre in Kwa Mashu. More
