Umcebo Design has been informed that its
submission has been shortlisted for possible inclusion in the Official
Programme for World Design Capital Cape Town 2014. The final selection wil be
made in November, 2013.
“Our submission is on the theme Bridging Divides and centres around community
workshops using recycled material to create a collection of chandeliers based on
the propotype design (pictured),” says Robin Opperman, Creative Director of
Umcebo Design.
The chandeliers will form part of prominent
public spaces in Cape Town during the 2013 World Design Capital period and will
hopefully be involved in other events.
