The Durban Art Gallery will present a four-day
free printmaking and linocut-making workshop in July, to be run by the
Caversham Press to dovetail the twin exhibitions currently on view in the
gallery. These are People, Prints &
Process: 25 Years at Caversham and Hats
Off: 25 years Linocuts from Caversham which both run until July 21, 2013.
The workshops run for four full days and are
open to people with an interest in the arts and print-making. Refreshments will
not be served, so participants should bring pack lunches. Also wear old clothes
and comfortable shoes. It is suggested they bring an apron.
The workshops will take place from July 11
to 14 from 09h00 until 15h00 at The Durban Art Gallery and entrance is free. As
space is limited, booking is essential. Contact the gallery on 031 311 2274 or
Witty on email: Witty.Nyide@durban.gov.za
The Durban Art Gallery is situated on the
2nd floor of the Durban City Hall, entrance in Anton Lembede (Smith) Street.
