JOSETTE EALES IN “LOVE THAT GIRL”

(Josette Eales)

Former Durban actress Josette Eales, who recently appeared in the television series The Wild is now living and working in Los Angeles. Remembered for numerous excellent performances on the Durban theatre circuit – often appearing with close friend Janna Ramos-Violante, she recently landed a role in Love That Girl, a show produced by Martin Lawrence and shot at his studios in LA.

“I played a guest role as a cousin of one of the Series Regular characters,” explains Josette, who shot the scene a few weeks ago. “It was wonderful to be working and on set again especially considering that I've only been here since January. Most people were incredibly impressed that I'd landed a role so soon into my stay here.”

The episode was directed by Bentley Evans who directs all Martin Lawrence's shows and was also responsible for directing the Jamie Fox show years ago.

“I was cast by Leah Daniels who recently cast The Butler with Oprah Winfrey and many other big names, as well as Paper Boy and Precious. She was incredibly impressed with me and I was awarded the role on the same day I auditioned and no-one else was considered for the role. I was cast after only one round of auditions. I'm over the moon to have landed a small but nevertheless valuable role. I'm feeling incredibly blessed and like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.”
