The Melanie Kisten Dance Academy’s smash
hit Kambakht Ishq is back and this
time it’s a double dose of scintillating, mesmerizing, scorching and vibrant
dances which comes to the Sibaya Casino’s iZulu Theatre for a short season of
three performances from July 26 to 28.
Throw into the mix three friends with a
knack for trouble, and the Midas touch for mischief, and you have Kambakht Ishq 2.
Conceived, produced and choreographed by the
Melanie Kisten, Kambakht Ishq2
(loosely translated as “Damn Love”) tells the story of love, infidelity and
reconciliation as lived by a host of distinctly Chatsworth characters
complimented by dynamic and vibrant choreography.
Kambakht
Ishq 2 is a slick musical born out of the story of
three local men - Don, Kuberz and Tiny - who are lulled by the anguish that is
their marriage. They find solace in card games where they meet and discuss
their woes. These three friends are invited into the notion of debauchery by a
fourth friend. This notion is accentuated by a chance meeting with a buxom babe
the following day at a local park where the lads meet for lunch.
Kambakht
Ishq 2 runs at the iZulu Theatre, Sibaya, on July 26
at 20h00, July 27 at 18h00 and July 28 at 15h00. Tickets start from R100 and booking
is at Computicket.
