Rainbow Restaurant will host the Melvin Peters Quartet in
concert on July 7.
“It has been a long time coming but it is great to finally
have Melvin Peters back on the Rainbow stage,” says Rainbow Restaurant
co-owner, Neil Comfort. “I guess the biggest nudge to make this concert happen
was seeing the reviews of a series of concerts that the quartet presented at
Umbilo's Rhumbelow Theatre in tribute to the late Dave Brubeck. Helping pianist
Peters flesh out the music of Brubeck and others is Bruce Baker on drums, Ildo
Nandja on double bass and Jonathan Judge on saxophone.
The Rainbow Restaurant Estd 1981 is situated at 23 Stanfield Lane,
