Join the School of Music at the University of KZN as it celebrates
the power of South Africa’s cultural diversity with Harinath Jha from India.
Harinath Jha is one of the foremost disciples of Ustad
Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar who represents the 20th unbroken generation of the
Dagars, the prime family in Dhrupad and Dhamar singing. Harinath is a renowned
composer and a lead singer/director of Maithily. In his musical research and
creation, he incorporates guidance of Vidushi Khrishha Bisht, Pt.Hari Charan
Verma and Pt. Rajendra Prasanna.
The free concert will take place on August 12 from 12h15 to
13h00 in Howard College Theatre.
