Kevin Bacon (Mystic River, Footloose) stars as Tom Stark, a train engineer whose
train smashes into the car of a young mother who has decided to commit suicide
on the tracks. The incident affects him deeply, especially when the dead
woman’s orphaned son turns up at his home and proceeds to transform the life of
Tom and his cancer-stricken wife (Marcia Gay Harden – Damages, Miller’s Crossing).
Directed by Alison Eastwood (2007), this is
a haunting, underrated drama about life’s unexpected collisions. It premieres
on Sony Entertainment Television, DStv Channel 127 on August 7 at 20h00.
