Glitter Girls: Reunion of ’89 with Lisa Bobbert,
Liesl Coppin and Marion Loudon makes a comeback to Rhumbelow Theatre, this time
including a performance in Pietermaritzburg.

Dallas... 1989 was a special year. But now these three girls have to go back!
Back to neon, back to big hair and back to Skolliesville High!
24 years later, Skolliesville High is
finally having their 20 year reunion (on account of Tina Davis nee Davies
having misplaced 2002 - 2005). And that means the Glitter Girls are going to
relive their greatest triumphs and heartbreaks at the reunion of the century!
All the hits, all the boys (and a few crazy characters you'll never forget),
all from the past... And where they are today!
Top performances come from the
award-winning trio of Lisa Bobbert, Liesl Coppin and Marion Loudon - all of
whom have been awarded the coveted honour of The Mercury Durban Theatre
Personality of The Year – amongst others. With songs from Madonna, Rihanna,
Pink, Bananarama, even Alison Moyet & Bonnie Tyler, and many more, this is
a show you don't want to miss! Also expect nostalgic memories from bands like
Duran Duran, Wham and The Eurhythmics.
The first performances of The Glitter Girls will take place at the
Rhumbelow in Pietermaritzburg on October 20 at 14h00 and 18h30 at the Allan
Wilson Shellhole at 5 Durban Road in Pietermaritzburg.
This will be followed by further
performances at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban over two weekends – October 25
to 27 and November 1 to 3. Shows Fridays and Saturdays at 20h00 and Sundays at
18h30. There will be an extra performance on November 3 at 14h00.
Both venues open 90 minutes before show for
picnic dinner. Tickets R100. Bring food picnic baskets and braais will be
available for those who wish to cook some meat. A cash bar is available (no
alcohol may not be brought on to the premises). There is limited secure parking.
